Parents, the newsletter tab in the left in the sidebar, is the teams publication The Tri-Nitro Times.  In this newsletter, various articles written by Team 280 Media members outline your student's progress. They will also be sent home to you, also you could have your child check their email at http://webmail.tnt280.com.

Also, look forward to another Parent's Meeting.  This meeting will be very important, as forms regarding travel to regional and nationals, as well as photography releases and various costs, will be given out and explained.  Please check this website often for an official date.  Also, you should receive another Tri-Nitro Times outlining the future parent's meeting prior to its date.

You are encouraged to stop by the Taylor Career Center, 9601 Westlake Road, to see what your child(ren) have been up to for the past weeks.  We seek parent involvement in many ways.  Currently, the parent booster club brings nutritional food items, and not so nutritional snacks, in for the students, teachers, engineers, and mentors since there are many long nights causing delayed meals.  The parent booster club also tries to find various scholarships for the seniors as well as fundraising opportunities.  Again, please stop by the Taylor Career Center to visit with the students and staff and see each subgroup's progress.

Parents, rest assured.  Your student undergoes an extensive one-hour study/tutoring session at the beginning of each meeting.  This was put into effect when the student's involvement became more intense and the work nights were extended.  This homework session allows the student to get a head start on their homework assignments so when they go home at odd hours of the night, homework can be the last thing on their mind.
